Santon Downham Car Boots 2020
As most will be aware we did dip our toes tentatively into bringing back the car boot for August and September. The hall followed entirely the governing rules and it all worked out splendidly. Naturally there were less buyers and sellers than the norm but it made for a pleasant change.
We had considered October as the final boot sale but with the current news and notwithstanding that the weather may not be as kind, thus putting too much pressure on maintaining social distancing…..this is now CANCELLED. We can only all hope that by April 2021 we are able to return to as near normal as possible, in the meantime we thank all our supporters and wish them good health.

Agenda For Santon Downham Parish Council Meeting on Monday, 3rd August 2020, 7.00 pm in Hall Meeting Room
Corona Virus Notice
Due to the unprecedented worldwide spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) the next Parish Council Meeting planned for the 20th April is now cancelled.
We can advise that the Village Hall bookings right through to June have been cancelled. All Car Boots are cancelled at the moment until such time that the Village Hall can reopen and provide the necessary facilities (toilets etc)
Unfortunately advertising had already been arranged but the posters will not go out. The Village Hall Committee is committed to following best practice and will follow advice given and adhere to social distancing.
The World will prevail and although we will not come out of this unscathed, we will come through this. Volunteers have come forward and will be assisting those amongst us who are vulnerable and it is important at this time that we all come together and help one another where and when we can.
To all our residents we hope that you all keep healthy, we are lucky living in a rural setting but that will not deter this Virus, so please take care. Use your gardens and do speak to your neighbours but just maintain a little distance as advised.
